Gems are magical enhancements that can be equipped to your weapon or armor. Hex Gems can be applied to Armor, and Jag Gems are applied to weapons. As a standard action, you can apply a Gem to a weapon or armor, it can subsequently be removed and placed on another weapon or armor as a standard action. Each one possesses an enhancement bonus, this bonus cannot bypass the maximum enhancement bonus a weapon or armor can possess.

Hard Jag Gem

Cost:  8,000 (+1), 18,000 (+2), 32,000 (+3)

Creation: Craft Wondrous Item, Holy Smite, Cost: Listed bonus

A Hard Jag gem allows you to bypass some of a creature's Damage reduction. A +1 Jag gem allows you to bypass a creature's DR up to half of the enhancement bonus of the weapon rounded up (Max 3). A +2 Jag gem allows you to bypass a creature's DR up to the enhancement bonus of the weapon (Max 5). A +3 Jag gem allows you to bypass a creature's DR up to twice the enhancement bonus of the weapon (Max 10).

Split Jag Gem

Cost: 18,000 (+2), 32,000 (+3), 50,000 (+4)

This gem makes a weapon work like an ooze bane weapon. If an attack with a Split Jag gem is a critical hit, the enemy cannot use any abilities that allows them to split or create multiples of themselves, such as the split or slime cheer ability of a slime for 1 round. If this is a +3 Split Jag gem, when you land a critical hit on a slime that has already split, that slime is immediately merged back with the original. If it cannot merge back with the original it is destroyed. If this is a +4 Split Jag gem, the Slime or ooze is susceptible to critical hits and sneak attack damage from the wielder of this weapon. In addition the slime can be knocked prone.

Lock Jag Gem

Cost: 8,000 (+1)

Creation: Craft Wondrous Item, summon monster I, Cost: Listed bonus

This weapon works exactly like a bane weapon, however this bonus damage applies to any creature who is capable of making sneak attacks, death attacks, has a feat that grants a bonus to Disable device, possesses 10 or more ranks in disable device, or has a class ability that aids them in trap finding or disarming. 

Emitting Jag Gem

Cost: 18,000 (+2), 32,000 (+3), 50,000 (+4)

Creation: Craft Wondrous Item, summon monster I, Cost: Listed bonus

This gem makes a weapon work like a bane weapon, however rather than selecting a kind of creature, you instead deal this damage to creatures of the elemental subtype. If an attack with an Emitting Jag gem is a critical hit, the Elemental loses it's immunity to any one ability from this list for 1 round (Bleed, Paralysis, Poison, Sleep, or stunning). If this is a +3 Emitting Jag gem, when you land a critical hit on an elemental creature, you can select 2 of those abilities. In addition the Elemental can be flanked. If this is a +4 Emitting Jag gem, the Elemental loses 3 abilities from that list, and is susceptible to critical hits and sneak attack damage from wielders of this weapon.

Phasing Jag Gem

Cost: 8,000 (+1)

This gem makes a weapon work like a bane weapon, however rather than selecting a kind of creature, you deal the additional damage to any creature who can become incorporeal or ethereal.

Rage Jag Gem

Cost: 8,000 (+1)

Creation: Craft Wondrous Item, summon monster I, Cost: Listed bonus

This gem makes a weapon work like a bane weapon, however rather than selecting a kind of creature, you deal the additional damage to any creature who can gain a bonus to it's ability scores through a class ability such as a Barbarian's rage or a Defender of Earth's Defender's Will. This only applies if the creature is currently using the ability that grants it those bonuses. 

Blue Jag Gem

Cost: 18,000 (+2)

This gem makes a weapon work like a bane weapon, however rather than selecting a kind of creature, you deal the additional damage to any creature who is Good aligned. 

Purple Jag Gem

Cost: 18,000 (+2)

Creation: Craft Wondrous Item, Bless, Cost: Listed Bonus

This gem makes a weapon work like a bane weapon, however rather than selecting a kind of creature, you deal the additional damage to any creature who is Evil aligned. 

White Jag Gem

Cost:  72,000 (+5)

This gem makes a weapon work like a bane weapon, however rather than selecting a kind of creature, you deal the additional damage to all creatures. 

Double S Jag Gem

Cost: 72,000 (+5)

Creation: Craft Wondrous Item, Haste, Cost: Listed Bonus

This gem allows the wielder to perform great feats of speed. When taking a single standard attack action, you may make an additional attack at your highest base attack bonus. If making a full attack, you gain an additional attack at your highest base attack bonus. This attack stacks with abilities such as speed or haste.

 

Hard Hex Gem

Cost: 4,000 (+1), 9,000 (+2), 16,000 (+3)

Creation: Craft Wondrous Item, Barkskin, Cost: Listed Bonus

A Hard Hex gem allows you to gain some impenetrable armor. A +1 Hex gem grants you DR up to half of the enhancement bonus of the armor rounded up (Max 3). A +2 Hex gem grants you DR up to the enhancement bonus of the armor (Max 5). A +3 Hex gem grants you DR up to twice the enhancement bonus of the armor (Max 10). This Damage reduction is DR/-.

Split Hex Gem

Cost: 9,000 (+2), 16,000 (+3), 25,000 (+4)

This gem makes armor or shields work like an ooze defiant armor or shield. If an attack from a slime or ooze is a critical hit or sneak attack, you gain a +25% fortification. If this is a +3 Split Hex gem, When struck by a critical hit or sneak attack from a slime you gain +75% fortification. If this is a +4 Split Hex gem, you become immune to sneak attacks and critical hits from slimes or oozes.

Cost: 9,000 (+2), 16,000 (+3), 25,000 (+4)

This gem makes armor or shields work like a defiant armor or shield against creatures of the elemental subtype. If an attack from that elemental is a critical hit or sneak attack, you gain a +25% fortification. If this is a +3 Emitting Hex gem, When struck by a critical hit or sneak attack from an elemental you gain +75% fortification. If this is a +4 Emitting Hex gem, you become immune to sneak attacks and critical hits from Elementals.

Phasing Hex Gem

Cost: 9,000 (+2), 16,000 (+3), 25,000 (+4)

This gem makes armor or shields work like a defiant armor or shield against creatures that are incorporeal If an attack from that creature is a critical hit or sneak attack, you gain a +25% fortification. If this is a +3 Phasing Hex gem, When struck by a critical hit or sneak attack from an incorporeal creature you gain +75% fortification. If this is a +4 Phasing Hex gem, you become immune to sneak attacks and critical hits from incorporeal creatures.

Blue Hex Gem

Cost: 16,000 (+3)

Creation: Craft Wondrous Item, Heroic Defiance, break enchantment,stabilize, Cost: Listed Bonus

You gain Damage Reduction 10 that only applies to holy or divine damage.

Purple Hex Gem

Cost: 16,000 (+3)

Creation: Craft Wondrous Item, Heroic Defiance, break enchantment,stabilize, Cost: Listed Bonus

You gain Damage Reduction 10 that only applies to unholy or profane damage.

White Hex Gem

Cost: 25,000 (+4)

Creation: Craft Wondrous Item, Heroic Defiance, break enchantment,stabilize, Cost: Listed Bonus

You gain Damage Reduction 5 that only applies to unholy, holy, divine, and profane damage.

Reflect Hex Gem

Cost:  72,000 (+5)

Creation: Craft Wondrous Item, Heroic Defiance, break enchantment,stabilize, Cost: Listed Bonus

When an enemy successfully damages you, it deals an amount of damage to it's self equal to the ability modifier that modified the damage that was dealt. (Strength or dexterity for most weapons, other ability scores if the damage source was a spell or technique). This ability can be used 5 times a day, and only once per round. This does not apply the creature's damage reduction to the damage dealt.

Spirited Hex Gem

Cost: 72,000 (+5)

Creation: Craft Wondrous Item, Heroic Defiance, break enchantment,stabilize, Cost: Listed Bonus

When struck by an attack that would drop you to negative hit points or kill you, you instead have a 35% chance to be left at 1 hitpoint instead. This ability can be used 3 times a day. Each time it is used, the percentage decreases by 10. The percentage refreshes back to 35% after a full night's rest.

Evasive Hex Gem

Cost: 9,000 (+2), 25,000 (+4), 72,000 (+5)

A +2 Hex gem grants you a bonus to your saving throws up to half of the enhancement bonus of the armor or shield rounded down (Max 2). A +4 Hex gem grants you a bonus to saving throws up to the enhancement bonus of the armor (Max 5), and a +5 grants you a bonus to saving throws equal to twice the enhancement bonus of the armor.
